Eight is GREAT!

Eight years ago a baby was born, and so was a mother (and a father, and grandparents, and aunts and uncles)! It is hard to imagine life now without these three precious girls in our lives. Each one of them is so different from the others, but also holds a special place in their dad & my heart!

Happy Eighth Birthday, Sydney!!!

Do you have a favorite Sydney memory? Post it in the comments. Sydney will LOVE to read all of the stories about her.

One of my favorite Sydney moments was when I was pregnant with Hayley. Jeremy use to puff up his belly to pretend he was pregnant too. One night when he did it Sydney looked at him and said, "WOW Daddy, that's ONE BIG BABY!"

  1. Wow Sydney - 8 years old! Just this morning as I was thinking of you on your birthday - I remembered when you first were home from the hospital - I came and stayed with you and your Mom and Dad in Ohio. Mom and Dad thought I had come to help them out - but really I came to grab as much time as I could to hold you in my arms.

I remember a few times when holding you - just looking at your face as you slept and wondering just what you would look like, what kind of personality you would have, and knowing all the time that I couldn't possibly see you enough - attend enough of the activities that you would be involved in or certainly not enough times to see your smile and hear your laughs - with you living away from us.

Sydney Grandma and I are so proud of the person that you have become and we look forward to the times that we will treasure when ever we can be together.

We love you so very much!!!!

  2. I remember when I stayed with you when you were about Addy's age. WOW! what a wiggle worm. I think it took me about 2 hours to get you dressed. You really liked the game of rolling over when I was trying to put your shirt or pants on and then running away with that infectious giggle of yours....which you still have thank goodness! You are the best! We're SOOOOO proud of you from sports to science to reading to being darling and arty. You are the dearest darling and OctoNana thinks so too. BLAAAAA and XOXOXOX

  3. Sydney you are growing up oh so fast. I remember when we went to the zoo to celebrate a birthday with you and you were wearing a tshirt that said I'm the big sister. You were the one who got to tell everyone you were getting a new addition to the family. No longer the cute little girl but a beautiful young lady. We miss seeing you grow up, but remember we are always thinking of you.. Much love and kisses, aunt mimi and cousin jenna... xx00
